      <image:caption>It would be a grave societal embarrassment to think all finger sandwiches are created equal. To date, this author has yet to find an offering better than the Lanesborogh. The coronation chicken with fresh coriander is by far my favourite in all the the ton, followed closely by the Clarence Court egg mayonnaise &amp; wholegrain mustard sandwich of dreams. There is a Smoked salmon, horseradish, watercress offering along with an organic cucumber, natural yoghurt, mint and a rare roast beef slider with black pepper, mayonnaise and onion seed. It can be reported that a second helping was spotted making its way to my table.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Once St. George’s hospital, the Lanesborough has a long and storied history in London first as the 1719 site of Vicount Lanesborough’s home. In 1733 the St. George Hospital operated in the home until it was demolished in the early 1800 and rebuilt as a 350 bed facility that opened by 1844 and ran until it relocated to tooting in 1970s. The Lanesborough was rescued, referbished and opened 1991. Today, as the diamond in the Oetker Collectionas, the hotel ‘s reputation for service, quality, and care is undeniable.</image:caption>

With names like The Queen’s Diamond, The Rake, A True Love Match, The Lady Whistledown, and All is Fair in Love &amp; War eating the sweets is as fun as watching season two again, and again.</image:caption>

The article focuses on Falklan Road in Kentish Town where homeowner Judith Peak decided to paint her home turquoise. After talking with neighbours to see how they felt about the colour and getting positive feedback, she went for it. Shortly after, her neighbour fancied a raspberry home. She painted pots in various shades to be considered by her neighbours. She chose the popular colour and made her statement. As time went on, homeowners eager to ‘keep up,’ painted their homes bolder colours as well. Falklan Road’s rainbow houses became so popular that it was designated a conservation area in 2012.</image:title>

Dotted all throughout London are slivers of the old Roman wall, however the slice Ollie showed me is impressive in size and comes with a great photo op of the Tower of London.</image:title>

Sort of. - A Walk Along the Thames A few stops later and we were at one of London’s oldest river front pubs, the Prospect of Whitby. There has been a pub at this location since 1520 and is a favourite local, offering views of the river and access to the banks for muck larking.</image:title>
      <image:caption>History tells us the first pub was popular with smugglers, thieves, pirates, and local criminals. Later it became the local hang out for writes such as Charles Dickens and artists Whistler and Turner. Around back you can see the famed river noose hanging. Legend says it was placed there in homage to Judge Jefferys, a notorious 17th century judge known for sentencing many river criminals to death.</image:caption>

Mariage Freres delivered perfectly sized French and English scones served with "Gelées Extra de Thé" tea jelly and butter, though to be fair, I missed the clotted cream. Continuing on with tea infused flavours, the selection of patisseries showed off the chef’s skill at marrying traditional cakes with classic teas. Despite eating my fair share of savouries and scones, I managed to sample each sweet patisserie delight and would be hard-pressed to pick a favourite.</image:title>

By far, this was the best summer cocktail I’ve had this year. It was fruity without overpowering the green tea flavour. Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do to avoid cars parked in front so I might be worth a return trip. From here, head toward Notting Hill Gate. Once across the street you’ll weave in and out of these colourful street to find some delicate vines blooming against pastel perfect homes. Be sure to wander down Campden Hill Rd and Kensington Place.</image:caption>

Bring milk, butter, salt, 1 tablespoon sugar, and ½ cup water to a simmer in a saucepan over medium-high heat.  Using a wooden spoon, add in flour quickly and mix fast for about 30 seconds until it’s a dough.  Remove dough and place it in the bowl of a stand mixer. The first time I made it, I followed the recipe to the letter. Nadiya’s recipe uses brown sugar because, in her words, it helps the caramel color deepen, faster. Thats great, but I never made a caramel before so the brown of the sugar threw me off. The second time I made it, I used regular sugar and it went from a lovely brown to burned really fast. The third time was the charm.</image:title>

      <image:caption>While the cooking are cooling, make the buttercream. Beat about 100g (the remaining butter) until softened, then add the icing sugar and remaining cinnamon (1/4tsp). Beat until thick. If the filling is too firm you can loosen it by adding a teaspoon of water until the desired consistency is reached.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I sliced the leek and dropped it in a bowl of water to clean. Once they were clean I sautéed them in butter with garlic until they were soft. I put them in the baking dish then used the sauté pan to make a roux. I used a mature cheddar to make a cheese sauce and poured it over the leeks. I sprinkled it with more cheese and baked it for about 25 - 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.</image:caption>
