The time I divorced my yoga pants.

Sometime between week 3 and 92, I mean week 6, of lockdown I decided to brush the crisp crumbs off my faded Wham! concert t-shirt and yoga pants combo and put on some real clothes. I threw open the doors of my wardrobe and scanned from left to right. Nothing jumped out at me so I sat back on my bed and did what I normally do when I’m stumped and need some help, I scrolled through instagram. A couple of inststories, a quick check of my emails and a few hours later, I found the help I needed.

Anita Feron Clark is a personal stylist I met at an informal mixer about two years ago. I instantly started following her on Instagram and signed up for her newsletter. I love her style and her outfits of the day. Her ethical approach to fashion and years of experience in the industry coupled with her fantastic personality means her clients are in the best hands.

Anita, who offers a variety of services that range from personal shopping to complete wardrobe makeovers, has found a way to continue helping fashion victims during lock-down. She is offering a series of workshops via Zoom, including the capsule wardrobe workshop that I decided to sign up for.

I, along with 5 other women, spent 90 minutes learning about the benefits of a capsule wardrobe, cost pre wear, how to determine our own wardrobe needs and where to fill those needs, among many other things. Anita was so helpful, so happy to answer questions and passionate about it all that it was hard not to get excited about tackling my wardrobe.

Even though my wardrobe is small, the job is big. Anita suggested I tackle it in parts, so that’s what I’m doing. In the meantime, I’m wearing something other than yoga pants and I’m feeling good about it.

Wish you were here,

xoxo
